1. Who we are
Migra Kreyol is operated by JRICKSS Financial Services LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it means JRICKSS Financial Services LLC. When it says "you" or "your", it means the person using Migra Kreyol.
You can reach us at customerservice@jrickss.com or by phone at 1-844-200-8027.
2. Information we collect
We collect the smallest amount of information needed to run the service. Here is the complete list of categories.
Information you give us directly
- Email address and password (your password is stored only as a one-way hash; we never see the plain password).
- Your name and phone number, if you choose to provide them.
- Case identifiers you enter: USCIS receipt numbers (such as EAC, WAC, LIN, MSC, IOE, or similar formats), EOIR alien numbers (A-numbers), and CBP I-94 numbers.
- Optional case details you choose to add: nationality, hearing dates, judge name, court address, asylum clock days, nicknames you give your cases, and notes.
- Notification preferences (email on, language).
- Any message you send us through support email.
Information generated when you use the service
- Case status text and history fetched from official sources on your behalf.
- Timestamps of each lookup and each notification we send you.
- Browser type and operating system, as your browser reports them, for compatibility and security.
- Technical identifiers derived from your connection, used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Logs of the actions you take in the dashboard (such as adding or archiving a case), for security and debugging.
The immigration court (EOIR) lookup, in detail
The asylum clock and hearing lookup works differently from the rest of the service, so we describe it precisely.
- What leaves our server. When you run a lookup, we send your A-Number and your nationality code directly to the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), part of the U.S. Department of Justice, at eoir-ws.eoir.justice.gov. That is the same public system the government's own ACIS portal uses. We send nothing else about you: not your name, not your email, not your IP address, not your account.
- If you are not signed in, we do not store the A-Number. The result is rendered in your browser and we keep no copy of the number or the case.
- If you are signed in, we do store it, in your account, so that we can send you hearing reminders and asylum clock alerts. You can delete any case from your dashboard at any time, and deleting it removes the A-Number and the case record.
- Human verification. EOIR requires a captcha on every lookup. We use hCaptcha, operated by Intuition Machines, Inc. When the captcha loads, hCaptcha receives your IP address and browser signals directly, under its own privacy policy. We do not send hCaptcha your A-Number or any case information. We do not use automated captcha-solving services in production.
- Only your own case, or one you are authorized to check. EOIR does not ask for proof of identity, which means a tool like this could be misused to look up a person who never agreed to it. We require you to affirm, on every lookup, that the case is yours or that you have the person's authorization. Using Migra Kreyol to check someone else's case without their permission violates our Terms, and we may suspend or terminate accounts that do it.
Projected numbers in the alerts we send you
Because EOIR requires a human-solved captcha, our systems cannot re-check your case automatically overnight. Some alerts therefore contain a projected asylum clock number: we take the last number we actually read, add the days that have passed, and assume the clock kept running. We always state the date of the underlying reading. A projection is a prompt to go verify, not a statement of fact about your case, and never a determination that you qualify for anything.
Information collected by our payment processor
- If you buy a paid plan, Stripe collects your payment method. Stripe shares with us only a token, your billing email, and your subscription status. We never see your card number, expiration, or CVV.
Information we deliberately do not collect
- Social Security numbers.
- Financial account numbers.
- Biometric data (no fingerprints, no facial recognition, no voiceprints).
- Precise geolocation (we do not request your GPS).
- Information about anyone under 13 years of age.
- Your contacts list, your photos, or files outside what you upload.
We do not request medical or health records as a separate category of information; Section 12 explains how we treat health-related details you choose to include in your case notes or documents.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only for the purposes listed here.
- To create and maintain your account.
- To look up the status of the cases you ask us to track, by calling official sources on your behalf.
- To send the email notifications you opted into.
- To process subscription payments through Stripe.
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
- To investigate and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To produce aggregate, de-identified statistics for service improvement (for example, "how many users have at least one EOIR case"). De-identified data cannot be linked back to any individual.
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests, such as subpoenas.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making about your eligibility for any benefit, or any purpose not listed here. If we need a new purpose, we will update this policy first and, where applicable law requires it, obtain your consent before the materially different processing begins.
4. How we share your information
We share information only as described below, and only the minimum needed. For each private service provider we describe what data is sent, why, and who receives it; each provider's processing of that data is subject to its applicable terms and privacy obligations. Official government sources are not service providers; when you use a lookup, the identifier you provide goes to the government system that holds the case.
Stripe (payment processing)
When you pay for a subscription, Stripe collects and stores your payment method. We send Stripe your email and subscription choice. Stripe sends us back a token and your subscription status. See Stripe's privacy policy.
HostGator (web hosting and email delivery)
Migra Kreyol runs on HostGator servers in the United States. HostGator stores our database, serves the website, and delivers our email notifications, as our infrastructure provider. HostGator's processing is subject to its applicable terms and privacy obligations. See HostGator's privacy policy.
USCIS (official case status source)
When you ask Migra Kreyol to look up a USCIS receipt, we send your receipt number to the USCIS Case Status API. USCIS sends back the status. We log the request and the response for your records. USCIS handles this data under federal privacy law. The product shows the current availability and environment of each lookup; USCIS functionality may be limited until our production API access is enabled.
EOIR (official court case source)
The EOIR lookup is described in detail in Section 2. Your A-Number and nationality code go to EOIR's public case system; nothing else about you is sent.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order, lawful request) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Migra Kreyol, our users, or the public. If we receive a legal request for your data, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.
We do not share with marketers or advertisers
We do not share, sell, rent, lease, or trade your information with advertisers, data brokers, marketing partners, or any party not listed above. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on our site.
De-identified and aggregated data
We may publish or share statistics about how the service is used (for example, "X percent of users track EOIR cases"). These statistics never include identifiers and cannot be linked to any individual. We do not authorize any recipient of de-identified data to attempt to re-identify it.
5. We do not sell your data
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not exchange it for money or other valuable consideration. This is not an opt-out you have to choose; it applies by default.
6. Your choices about data sharing
You control your data. You can:
- Turn email notifications on or off, per case, from the dashboard.
- Export your case data and history yourself, at any time, from Settings and security in your dashboard. The download is a JSON file and it is instant.
- Delete any single case from the dashboard. Deleted cases are removed from our active application systems immediately.
- Delete your entire account (see Section 10 below).
- Revoke a browser extension from Settings and security in your dashboard, which stops that extension from syncing. Changing your password or resetting it revokes every extension at once.
7. Impact of sharing on others
Some of the data you store in Migra Kreyol may relate to other people, such as a family member's name in a USCIS case or your attorney's name on an EOIR hearing notice. If you choose to share screenshots of your dashboard, forward our emails, or give someone access to your account, that information about other people goes with it. Please use care, especially with sensitive details about immigration status, court hearings, or asylum proceedings. We never share your case data outside what Section 4 describes.
8. How we limit third-party use of your data
We share personal data with the providers listed in Section 4 only so they can perform the specific services described there. We do not authorize any provider to use your data for its own marketing, for training of AI models, for sale to third parties, or for any other purpose of its own. Each provider's processing is subject to its applicable terms and privacy obligations. The same limits apply to de-identified, anonymized, and pseudonymized data: we do not authorize re-identification or use beyond the purpose we engaged the provider for.
If we want to share your data for a new purpose or with a new provider, we will update this policy first and, where applicable law requires it, obtain your consent before the materially different processing begins.
9. What we do if there is a security incident
If a security incident requires notification under applicable law, we will notify affected users and applicable authorities as required by law and without unreasonable delay, taking into account legitimate investigation, security, and law-enforcement needs. When we notify you, we will tell you what data was affected, what we have done, and what protective steps you can take, such as resetting passwords or watching for phishing.
We use security measures including HTTPS, hashed passwords, access logging, and controls that prevent public access to our application database. No system is perfect, and we will be honest with you if something goes wrong.
10. How long we keep your data, and how to delete it
- Active accounts: we keep your case data while your account is active and you are using it.
- Deletion, active systems: when you delete a case or your account, we delete the associated data from our active application systems as described below. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove temporary or provider-level copies, where such copies exist; those copies are handled according to the relevant system or provider's retention practices and applicable law.
- Billing records: transaction records are retained by our payment processor, Stripe, under its own retention rules for financial compliance; we do not request their erasure when you delete your account.
- Acceptance and legal-choice records: we keep a minimal record that you accepted our Terms and Privacy Policy: the date of acceptance, the document versions and their digital fingerprints, the language you accepted in, where the acceptance happened (for example at signup or at sign-in), and pseudonymous references derived from your account and your email address (one-way codes that let us confirm the record belongs to you if a legal question ever arises, without storing your email itself in the record). If you exercise the arbitration opt-out in our Terms, we also keep a minimal pseudonymous record of that choice together with the applicable Terms acceptance record. These records follow the same retention rule: kept while your account is active and for 6 years after your account closes, and longer only where an applicable legal hold or legal obligation requires it. They contain no immigration case identifiers and no case data, and we never use them for marketing.
- Aggregate statistics: we keep de-identified aggregate statistics indefinitely for service improvement.
You have three ways to delete your data.
- Delete a single case: open the case in your dashboard, click Delete. Confirmation required. Removed from active systems immediately.
- Delete your account: open Settings and security in your dashboard, go to "Delete my account", enter your current password and type DELETE to confirm. Your account, every case and all history are removed from our active application systems immediately. You can still email customerservice@jrickss.com with the subject "Delete my account" if you prefer; we will verify that the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion without unreasonable delay and within any timeframe applicable law requires.
- Delete only specific data: email us asking for the specific information you want removed. We will verify your identity and act on the request without unreasonable delay and within any timeframe applicable law requires.
What we delete: your account, your cases, your case history, your notification preferences, your stored credentials, your name, your phone, your stored email. What we keep: the minimal acceptance and legal-choice records described above (pseudonymous, no case data, 6 years), billing records held by our payment processor as described above, and any records we are under a legal hold to preserve.
11. If our ownership changes or the business ends
If JRICKSS Financial Services LLC is acquired, merges, or sells the Migra Kreyol product to another company, we will:
- Notify all users by email in advance of the change taking effect.
- Require the new owner to adopt this Privacy Policy and continue to honor its commitments, including the no-sale and third-party-use limits.
- Give you a reasonable opportunity, stated in the notice, to export and delete your data before it is transferred if you do not want it transferred.
If we close down the business entirely, we will:
- Notify all users by email in advance of the shutdown date.
- Provide an export tool so you can download your case data before that date.
- Securely destroy the personal data in our active systems on the shutdown date, subject to the limited retention described in Section 10, including acceptance and legal-choice records and billing records held by our payment processor, and to copies held by providers under their own retention practices.
12. Health information
Migra Kreyol is not a medical service and we do not request health information. In rare situations, your immigration case may include health-related details (for example, a medical waiver letter). If you store such information with us, we treat it with the same protection as the rest of your case data. You can export or delete it at any time using the procedures in Sections 6 and 10. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity.
13. How to close your account
You can close your account at any time, for any reason, with no penalty.
- Email customerservice@jrickss.com with "Close my account", or use "Delete my account" in Settings and security.
- If you have a paid subscription, deleting your account also cancels it: we cancel the subscription first, and only then delete the account. If the cancellation cannot be completed, we stop, tell you, and delete nothing until it succeeds. Refund eligibility follows our Terms of Service.
- Closing your account starts the deletion process described in Section 10.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy with a revised effective date. If applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a material change, we will provide it before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
15. State privacy rights
Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional privacy rights, such as the right to know what personal information a business holds about you, to obtain a copy of it, to correct it, or to delete it. We honor the substance of these rights for every user, wherever you live: Section 2 lists everything we collect, Section 4 lists everyone we share it with, and Sections 6 and 10 give you working export and deletion tools that do not require a special request. To ask a question or make a request under the law of your state, email customerservice@jrickss.com with "Privacy request" in the subject and tell us your state. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your data, and we will respond within the time your state's law allows. We do not sell personal information, so laws that give you the right to opt out of a sale always work in your favor by default.
16. Children's privacy
Migra Kreyol is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we delete it. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us at customerservice@jrickss.com.
17. International users
Migra Kreyol is operated from the United States and our servers are located in the United States. If you use Migra Kreyol from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your home country. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights; see Section 15.

19. This is not legal advice
Migra Kreyol is a case tracking tool. We are not a law firm. We do not give legal advice and we are not affiliated with USCIS, EOIR, ICE, CBP, or any U.S. government agency. For decisions about your immigration matter, consult a licensed immigration attorney or an authorized DOJ-accredited representative. The court notice or official USCIS letter is the only document that controls legally.
