1. Who we are
Migra Kreyol is operated by JRICKSS Financial Services LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company. When this policy says "we", "us", or "our", it means JRICKSS Financial Services LLC. When it says "you" or "your", it means the person using Migra Kreyol.
You can reach us at customerservice@jrickss.com or by phone at 1-844-200-8027.
2. Information we collect
We collect the smallest amount of information needed to run the service. Here is the complete list of categories.
Information you give us directly
- Email address and password (your password is stored only as a one-way bcrypt hash; we never see the plain password).
- Your name and phone number, if you choose to provide them.
- Case identifiers you enter: USCIS receipt numbers (such as EAC, WAC, LIN, MSC, IOE, or similar formats), EOIR alien numbers (A-numbers), and CBP I-94 numbers.
- Optional case details you choose to add: nationality, hearing dates, judge name, court address, asylum clock days, nicknames you give your cases, and notes.
- Notification preferences (email on, SMS on, language).
- Any message you send us through support email.
Information generated when you use the service
- Case status text and history fetched from official sources on your behalf (for example, the USCIS Case Status API response for your receipt number).
- Timestamps of each lookup and each notification we send you.
- Browser type and operating system, as your browser reports them, for compatibility and security.
- A one-way hashed version of your IP address. We hash IPs with a salted SHA-256 so we can spot abuse without keeping your raw IP.
- Logs of the actions you take in the dashboard (such as adding or archiving a case), for security and debugging.
Information collected by our payment processor
- If you buy a paid plan, Stripe collects your payment method. Stripe shares with us only a token, your billing email, and your subscription status. We never see your card number, expiration, or CVV.
Information we deliberately do not collect
- Social Security numbers.
- Financial account numbers.
- Biometric data (no fingerprints, no facial recognition, no voiceprints).
- Precise geolocation (we do not request your GPS).
- Medical or health records.
- Information about anyone under 13 years of age.
- Your contacts list, your photos, or files outside what you upload.
3. How we use your information
We use your information only for the purposes listed here.
- To create and maintain your account.
- To look up the status of the cases you ask us to track, by calling official sources such as the USCIS Case Status API on your behalf.
- To send the notifications you opted into (email or SMS).
- To process subscription payments through Stripe.
- To provide customer support when you contact us.
- To investigate and prevent abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To produce aggregate, de-identified statistics for service improvement (for example, "how many users have at least one EOIR case"). De-identified data cannot be linked back to any individual.
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests, such as subpoenas.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, automated decision-making about your eligibility for any benefit, or any purpose not listed here. If we ever need a new purpose, we will ask for your active consent first.
4. How we share your information
We share information only with the named service providers below, and only the minimum needed for them to do their job. Each provider is bound by a contract or terms of service that prohibits using your data for their own purposes.
Stripe (payment processing)
When you pay for a subscription, Stripe collects and stores your payment method. We send Stripe your email and subscription choice. Stripe sends us back a token and your subscription status. See Stripe's privacy policy.
GoHighLevel (notification delivery)
When you opt into SMS or email notifications, we use GoHighLevel to deliver them. We send GoHighLevel only your phone number or email and the message content. They may not use your contact info for their own marketing. See GoHighLevel's privacy policy.
HostGator (web hosting)
Migra Kreyol runs on HostGator servers in the United States. HostGator stores our database and serves the website. They may not access user data except to operate the infrastructure. See HostGator's privacy policy.
USCIS (official case status source)
When you ask Migra Kreyol to look up a USCIS receipt, we send your receipt number to the USCIS Case Status API. USCIS sends back the status. We log the request and the response for your records. USCIS handles this data under federal privacy law.
Anthropic (optional AI features)
Some assistance features use Anthropic's Claude. We send only the text you submitted for that feature and never your account credentials, full case history, or contact data. Anthropic processes the text to return an answer and does not train on customer data by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law (subpoena, court order, lawful request) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Migra Kreyol, our users, or the public. If we receive a legal request for your data, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.
We do not share with marketers or advertisers
We do not share, sell, rent, lease, or trade your information with advertisers, data brokers, marketing partners, or any party not listed above. We do not use third-party advertising trackers on our site.
De-identified and aggregated data
We may publish or share statistics about how the service is used (for example, "X percent of users track EOIR cases"). These statistics never include identifiers and cannot be linked to any individual. The third-party prohibition above also applies to de-identified data: no recipient may attempt to re-identify it.
5. We do not sell your data
We do not sell your personal information. We do not exchange your personal information for money, services, discounts, or any other monetary or non-monetary benefit. This is a permanent commitment, not an opt-out you have to choose.
6. Your choices about data sharing
You control your data. You can:
- Turn email notifications on or off, per case, from the dashboard.
- Turn SMS notifications on or off, per case, from the dashboard.
- Export your case data and history at any time by emailing customerservice@jrickss.com. We send a JSON export within 7 days.
- Delete any single case from the dashboard. Deleted cases are removed from your active view immediately and purged from backups within 30 days.
- Delete your entire account (see Section 11 below).
- Revoke the browser extension token from the dashboard, which stops the extension from syncing.
7. Impact of sharing on others
Some of the data you store in Migra Kreyol may relate to other people, such as a family member's name in a USCIS case or your attorney's name on an EOIR hearing notice. If you choose to share screenshots of your dashboard, forward our emails, or give someone access to your account, that information about other people goes with it. Please use care, especially with sensitive details about immigration status, court hearings, or asylum proceedings. We never share your case data outside the service providers listed in Section 4.
8. Third-party use is prohibited without your active consent
Every service provider listed in Section 4 is contractually limited to using your data only for the purpose we hire them for. None of them may use your data for their own marketing, training of AI models, sale to third parties, or any other purpose, without your active and explicit consent. This rule applies to de-identified, anonymized, and pseudonymized data as well: third parties may not attempt to re-identify it or use it beyond the purpose we authorize.
If we ever want to share your data for a new purpose with a new provider, we will ask you to consent first.
9. What we do if there is a data breach
If a breach affects your personal data and we determine that breach poses a meaningful risk to you, we will:
- Notify you by email within 72 hours of confirming the breach.
- Tell you what data was affected, what we have done, and what you should do.
- Recommend specific protective steps you can take, such as resetting passwords or watching for phishing.
- File required reports with state attorneys general, USCIS, and any other authorities required by law.
- Publish a public notice on the site if the breach affects a large number of users.
We test our security regularly and follow industry-standard practices, including encrypted database connections, hashed passwords, hashed IPs, secure secrets storage, and access logging. No system is perfect, and we will be honest with you if something goes wrong.
10. How long we keep your data
We hold onto data only as long as we need it.
- Active accounts: we keep your case data while your account is active and you are using it.
- Dormant accounts: if you do not sign in for 24 months, we email a warning. If you still do not sign in within 60 days of the warning, we archive your case data (encrypted, not accessible without manual restoration) and you can revive your account within 12 months by emailing us. After that, we delete archived data.
- Deleted accounts: when you request deletion, we permanently delete personal data within 30 days from live systems and within 60 days from backups (which rotate monthly).
- Billing records: we retain receipts and invoices for 7 years to comply with U.S. tax law. These records include your name, email, payment amount, and date, but not your case data.
- Aggregate statistics: we keep de-identified aggregate statistics indefinitely for service improvement.
11. How to delete your data
You have three ways to delete your data.
- Delete a single case: open the case in your dashboard, click Delete. Confirmation required. Removed immediately, purged from backups within 30 days.
- Delete your account: email customerservice@jrickss.com with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm receipt within 1 business day and complete deletion within 30 days. An in-app self-service deletion option is in development.
- Delete only specific data: email us asking for the specific information you want removed. We respond within 1 business day.
What we delete: your account, your cases, your case history, your notification preferences, your hashed password, your hashed IP, your name, your phone, your stored email. What we keep, only when legally required: billing records for tax compliance, and any data we are under a legal hold to preserve.
12. If our ownership changes or the business ends
If JRICKSS Financial Services LLC is acquired, merges, or sells the Migra Kreyol product to another company, we will:
- Notify all users by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
- Require the new owner to adopt this Privacy Policy and continue to honor its commitments, including the no-sale and no-third-party-use rules.
- Give you at least 60 days from the notice to export and delete your data if you do not want it transferred.
If we close down the business entirely, we will:
- Notify all users by email at least 90 days before the shutdown date.
- Provide an export tool so you can download your case data.
- Securely destroy all personal data on the shutdown date that has not been exported and requested for transfer to another service.
13. Health information
Migra Kreyol is not a medical service and we do not request health information. In rare situations, your immigration case may include health-related details (for example, a medical waiver letter). If you store such information with us, we treat it with the same protection as the rest of your case data. You can export or delete it at any time using the procedures in Sections 6 and 11. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity.
14. How to close your account
You can close your account at any time, for any reason, with no penalty.
- Email customerservice@jrickss.com with "Close my account".
- If you have a paid subscription, we cancel it at the same time. Refund eligibility follows our Terms of Service.
- Closing your account starts the deletion process described in Section 11.
15. Changes to this policy
If we update this Privacy Policy in any material way, we will:
- Email every active user at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
- Show a banner in the dashboard linking to a plain-language summary of what changed and why.
- Require your active consent (a checkbox saying "I have read and accept the new privacy policy") before you can continue using the service after the effective date.
- Keep the prior version archived. You can request older versions from customerservice@jrickss.com.
Small, non-material edits (such as fixing a typo or updating a contact phone number) may be made without notice. We update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page whenever the policy changes.
16. California privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you specific rights. You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we have collected about you in the last 12 months.
- Tell you what categories of sources we got it from and what categories of third parties we have shared it with.
- Delete your personal information, subject to the limited legal exceptions in Section 10.
- Opt out of the "sale" of your information. We do not sell information, so this opt-out always applies by default.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise these rights, email customerservice@jrickss.com with "California privacy request" in the subject. We respond within 45 days. We may ask you to verify your identity to protect your data.
17. Children's privacy
Migra Kreyol is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we delete it. If you believe a child has signed up, please contact us at customerservice@jrickss.com.
18. International users
Migra Kreyol is operated from the United States. Our servers are located in the United States. If you use the service from outside the United States, you understand and consent that your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

20. This is not legal advice
Migra Kreyol is a case tracking tool. We are not a law firm. We do not give legal advice and we are not affiliated with USCIS, EOIR, ICE, CBP, or any U.S. government agency. For decisions about your immigration matter, consult a licensed immigration attorney. The court notice or official USCIS letter is the only document that controls legally.
